Crikey... poor you, Mel. I guess it was only a matter of time before one of us went down with it but bad luck that it's you! :-(

Here's to a quick recovery, eh?

O Noooo! * Hugs*

Take It EASY Ok? Tamiflu, lots of fluids, rest/sleep, andadin for the headaches and pains and something like tunes to suck on for a sore throat ( dont do lockets, they are bad for you!)

I do hope you get better soon!

(PS: Look on the bright side: its better to have it now than in the middle of winter, for you will be immune!)

I feel a bit of a fraud. I don't *know* that I have swine flu. Only according to that v silly NHS sypmtom checker thing.

Tamiflu - anyone know how I can get hold of it? I think they only give it you round 'ere if you're a high risk person, and I'd have to have it in the next 12 hours or so.

Ooh why are lockets bad for you, Minx?

Thanks Michael, I'll drink to that! (Minx did say to keep my fluids up and she IS a nurse.)

I shan't hug you both back though. Otherwise you'll have it too :P

Ah Mel! I'm sure you will be fine, lots of rest :)

At my graduation we all have to use the alcoholic handgel before shaking various people's hands as to avoid a mass outbreak!

Mel!!!! I hope you get better very soon! (and I also hope that it isn't swine flu after all!)

Minxy, why are lockets bad for you? :o

Mel,

Try ringing NHS Direct; I know they are a bit swamped at the mo but its your best bet if your GP is a no Go and they should be able to provide info as to how to obtain Tamiflu ( the dratted pandemic hotline for England isnt open until THURSDAY, so go figure).

Lockets are no good for you because they have a diuretic effect and can lead to dehydration!!!!

Aw no, bad news. But I suppose there had to be a first. Apparently people get over it by drinking lots of fluids. I'm sure it will pass quickly.

We're using that alcoholic hand gel prob a good thing since we have to handle all incoming and outgoing mail in our office.

Feel better. xx

I went to Court in Barnet today and we all had to disinfect before going into Court. I sat through the hearing all of 10 minutes wondering who was being protected as the Judgyboy was 10 feet away, and even my sneezes didn't reach that far, try and I might. Nobody shook hands. Nobody honked or squealed like a pig. We all did hold the door open for each other, so maybe the door is infected.

Ten minutes later I was crammed on the underground head stuck in some poor girls cleaveage for most of the Northern Line. She did get a bit concerned as there were only 2 other people on the carriage. Nobody felt the need to disinfect on the filthy tube. Bizarre.

Mel, hot foot it down to the doctors and ask for an appointment. Watch the no hoper, benefit cheating, lazy arsed public clear the waiting room in seconds.

That will cheer you up.

Hope you are feeling better soon. You need to be on top form for your resits!

I can't believe I know someone with swine flu. (Do I get a prize?)

Minxy, if sucking on a Locket is bad, what about a Fishermans Friend? Boom Boom.

Swizzy

Oh no! That really sucks! I guess someone was going to be the first to succumb, but nonetheless sorry you have been inflicted with the Bacon Cold!

It's so unfair, I don't even eat bacon!

Ach, and I was sure it was going to be me, as they're desperate for me to go out on the road (to cover the professional crews who are now going down with it!)

Just make sure you get well soon, there's only so much daytime TV you can put up with :)
